Knee & hip
Here we go through the knee joint, thighs and hips. You will gain an in-depth insight into pathology such as tendon pathology, ligament injuries, meniscus and labrum, osteoarthritis, swelling, muscle ruptures and how to interpret and evaluate the structures using dynamic examination and evaluation of inflammation and neovascularization with Doppler. In this step, you should have access to your own machine at your clinic so that you can train and submit patient cases for evaluation and feedback.
The minimum requirement to participate in the course is that you have taken an introductory course in musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostics or similar training.
Examples of course objectives:
To be able to interpret ligament injuries around the knee joint
To learn how to assess muscle damage in the hamstrings and quadriceps
To learn how to perform dynamic tests when evaluating meniscus injuries
To evaluate swelling in and around the knee and hip joints
